Investment Director / Fred Mendelsohn
Fred is the Managing Director of AXM Venture Capital and Chairman of the CCF and the NWF4D&C. He is also a partner in MST Capital which invests in mid-sized leveraged finance transactions. In 2000 he co-founded Axiomlab Group Plc, which made over 30 direct and indirect investments in early-stage businesses. In 1998, he launched Sibson & Co. in Europe, a US-based management consultancy business. After working for McKinsey & Co. in London, Scotland, and Dublin, he founded a corporate finance boutique in 1995. Fred gained an MBA from the Harvard Business School, as well as an MA from St Edmund Hall, Oxford University.

Investment Director / Rupert Wingate-Saul
Rupert is an Investment Director with the North West Fund for Digital & Creative. Rupert’s background is in the telecommunications sector, having most recently acted as a consultant advising on mobile investments with Analysys Mason, having graduated with an engineering degree from Cambridge University.

Investment Manager / Joanne Evans
Joanne was previously an Investment Manager with CCF. Prior to CCF she sold her stake in Illumina Digital, the TV and new media production company which she co-founded in 1998 and which has won many awards for its interactive projects including 4 BAFTAs. Joanne is currently a founding director of Living Space Media.

Investment Manager / Stephen Clough
Stephen is an Investment Manager with the North West Fund. He is an experienced Finance Director / Chartered Accountant whose background is in both privately owned and listed companies. As well as having a broad base of strategic and operational skills, he also has a depth of experience in corporate transactions, MBO’s, VC/PE fund raising, reorganisations and turnarounds.

Investment Manager / Anneke Rifkin
Anneke joined the Fund on 01 September 2010 as an Investment Manager. She was previously with the British Museum as Head of Corporate Development and before that worked at KPE, a New York based media consultancy. She has a BA from Boston University and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
